"When I realized I wasn't going to get help from my son from his school, despite my constant questions and my attempts to educate them on my son's disability, I called LDA."

Consultations & Advocacy
The complex world of special education can be confusing and often frustrating. You
want what is best for your child, but many times are unsure what is needed or whether your child is getting the services and support they require and deserve.
St. Louis LDA provides individual consultation and personalized advocacy for parents and can help you to understand what services are available and needed for your child. In this way, we can help to ensure an optimum learning environment for your child who has learning disabilities and/or ADHD.
We review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and diagnostic reports to verify strategies to meet your child’s needs
We counsel you about services that are needed and where to access them
We attend IEP and 504 meetings with you and the school officials to negotiate appropriate programming on your child's behalf
We help with structuring the college placement process, when necessary
