Educational Consultations
The complex world of special education can be confusing and often frustrating.  Parents want what is best for their children, but many times they are unsure what is needed or whether their children are getting the services and support they require.

St. Louis LDA provides individual consultation and personalized advocacy for parents to help them understand what services are available and needed to ensure an optimum learning environment for their child who has learning disabilities or ADHD.
  • We review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and diagnostic reports to verify strategies to meet the child’s needs.
  • We counsel parents about services that are needed and where to access them.
  • We attend IEP and 504 meetings with parents and school officials to negotiate appropriate programming on behalf of each child.
  • We help with structuring the college placement process, when necessary.
Services are provided on a sliding scale basis to ensure that every family may be served, regardless of their ability to pay.
