Speech and Language Evaluations are designed to assess a child's expressive and receptive language skills and how a language disorder affects his learning. The evaluation may be either initiated by the parent or recommended by the school. The evaluations are conducted by LDA's Speech and Language Pathologist, who has many years of experience working with children.
The evaluation consists of:
- A parent intake session (from half-an-hour to one hour).
- One testing session (approximately and hour-and-a-half to two hours).
- A follow-up session in which parents receive the testing results.
- A written report of results and recommendations is provided.
Articulation and tutoring sessions are also available .
