Tutoring

Elementary, middle and high school students diagnosed with a learning disability or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) may need additional help to acquire learning techniques and to transfer those skills to the classroom so they may become independent learners.

St. Louis LDA offers one-on-one tutoring programs during the academic year and in the summer for children who need to learn strategies and compensatory skills to be successful in a traditional classroom. Individually designed programs focus on remediating a child’s skills, and reinforcement of daily lessons and pre-teaching of new material is also included. The LDA tutoring staff are certified special educators who are matched with students based on the child’s specific strengths and weaknesses.

Tutors work one-on-one with students for 50 minutes, two times per week. Sessions are available Monday through Thursday. There is a standard fee for each session. All sessions are held at the St. Louis LDA offices, 13537 Barrett Parkway Drive, Ste. 110, Ballwin, MO 63021.

Tutoring sessions can be scheduled by calling the LDA office at 314-966-3088.
